Press release: This is the stereo version of a multi-channel sound installation by RMEDL / METASOUND / K11 that took place inside a Roman Cistern hosted within the Archeological Parc of San Vincenzino on 20-21 March 2010 in occasion of the celebration of the Eleusis Mysteries. The installation was based on an eight separate channels system called IMEASY (Integrated Modular Expandable Audio Spatialisation System) running a composition created by K11/Pietro Riparbelli using sound sources provided by artists coming from different scenes: from Contemporary art up to Black Metal. A bridge between the conception of sound within the contemporary art scene, the post-industrial culture and the avantgarde black metal musical scene, focusing on creating a dialogic development between radical forms of concrete music, unorthodox sounds and experimental recordings of the acoustic phenomena. Artists involved are the following: Massimo Bartolini, Christina Kubisch, Francisco Lopez, Philippe Petit, Seth Cluett, Burial Hex, Francesco Brasini, Luciano Maggiore, L'Acephale, Y.E.R.M.O., Andrea Marutti, Gianluca Becuzzi, Aderlating, Nordvargr, Utarm and Deadwood. This private edition was spreaded only among the participating artists. A strictly limited "on-demand" version will be released at a later date by Radical Matters, a regular and widely available edition will be released by Cold Spring at the same time. |
